Why Horses?
Over countless years, the horse has been a part of our human fabric. Horses have carried our loads, carried us across miles of plains or into battle, plowed our fields and serviced our sporting interest. The Native Americans called the horse by the same name as a dog. They saw both as loyal working and service animals that understood the complex relationship or trust with mankind.
We have learned that the horse has eyes that see places deep within us– their hearts can reach places deep within ourselves we do not know how to find. They react to our emotional state of fear, anguish, anxiety, hidden traumas, and dissonance. Using the horse in this coaching method enables one to go beyond the lies we tell our own hearts and break ground for new foundations. The mere touch or presence can heal us and assist in making whole that which has been fragmented or lost. They offer healing, insight, and true connection to spirit and now they have Equine Gestalt Coaching Method (EGCM) coaches to help them.

Debbie Mikels, Founder
My connection to horses began a very, very long time ago… before I knew & certainly many lifetimes ago.
This was a path I could not avoid. Unbeknownst to me as I followed my path west to Montana the stars aligned. I moved on from my nursing career and become the proud owner of Dream Dance Outfitters. Guiding hearty souls into the Beartooth Mountains was a dream come true.
This magnificent experience was filled with endless days & nights of breathtaking, joy-filled fun with people from all over the world!
As days on the trail passed I began to notice a very clear change in my cowboy/cowgirl souls during & after a ride. People were open, engaging, childlike & filled with peace. Something was creating this change…
I looked to my beloved Dream Dance herd - I became curious - what were they doing? I refer to my horses as my people and I know them intimately… I believe it was the horses that were responsible for creating this deeper connection to one self. As a result, I began a multiple year program, Equine gestalt coaching, this program enables me to partner with horses to bring about wholeness & witness one’s truest self.
I believe when a person communicates with a horse, it is the language of love that is spoken.
My deep desire to explore my own soul path lead me to an extensive & ongoing energy healing training across many energy healing methods.

Beautiful Beau – sometimes afraid of his own shadow yet has become the lead guide horse. He has learned the ropes by stretching himself. Oh my, is that a big log, a big rock, a moose – Oh no! Maybe a cow – He persisted and now knows his path.

His looks can be slightly deceiving. This big bay mustang loves attention and has the exterior of a mammoth beast. Fox can carry the biggest to the smallest person up to the mountain top. His specialty is slow and steady. Fox will be patient with you as you journey to discover who you are, what your dreams are and all the possibilities that lie before you. He can also carry the heaviest loads. No problem is too big or too small for Fox, he has the perseverance to stay with you.

Our youngest most curious, playful, and social girl at 2 years old. A curly mustang, she exudes wild and free. She will join the herd to learn and continue her social outings. This little one loves people - her words; connection & love!
